I currently work freelance as a camera assistant and operator.
I
graduated from Nottingham Trent with a 1st class degree in Multimedia,
specializing in Audio Visual Production. I also learnt up to date web
2.0 skills, editing and design.
Before going to Nottingham I was a Photographers Assistant for about a year.
Prior
to that I studied Photography & Digital Imagery for a total of 6 years, at both Reading
College (now TVU) and then Leeds College of Art & Design. I even was
lucky enough to have a secondary school that offered Photography at
GCSE level.
During my photography assisting I felt that filming was the natural progression for me with a decent background to support me.
I am focussed (excuse the pun) to being an assistant now, but aspire to operate. Occasionally I get the chance to DP using what I have learnt from years of study and observed from years of varying sized production, under some great Directors of Photography.
